Pilot, Danielle Aitchison, and her partner, Captain Chris Hood, talk with UNHAS Afghan ground staff at Bamiyan airstrip. The airstrip is made of rocks and gravel and not entirely straight, making take off and landings more challenging in the remote mountins....When asked about flying in a war zone, she says, "I'm just a normal average female. My job is maybe a little different to some, but I have the same feminine side as other women. I don't have any trouble going back to New Zealand relating to people. I'm just a regular chick.".
